Senator Martin A. Sandoval (D-Chicago) hosted the Executive Director of the Warehouse Project and Gallery (TWP&G) Meredith Schilsky and youth members, at his district office in Cicero.
The group met with Sandoval to brief him on projects being created by TWP&G in the Village of Summit.
“Senator Sandoval is a huge advocate of youth involvement in the community and we wanted to share what great things we’re doing with our group,” said Schilsky.
The Warehouse Project is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, which encourages positive social change and neighborhood development by providing artistic outlets that engage and empower the community.
“I applaud The Warehouse Project and Gallery for empowering youth to become creative, productive, and confident members of the community through artistic outlets,” said Sandoval. “TWP&G lay the foundation to further a legacy of responsible citizenship.”
Senator Sandoval represents the 11th Senate District, which includes the neighborhoods of Brighton Park, Clearing, Gage Park, Garfield Ridge, Little Village, West Lawn, and West Cook municipalities of Bedford Park, Burbank, Cicero, Forest View, Lyons, McCook, Stickney, Summit and Riverside.
